- Abstract
- Detailed proposal
Asia is the largest continent, the most populated one, and rich in both human languages and biodiversity. This contribution will look at how Asian-language Wikipedias cover the topic of biodiversity in general as well as selected taxa endemic to the area where a particular Wikipedia language is spoken. This includes observations on the role of bots and Wikidata in creating and maintaining such articles, on the editing dynamics of articles on species newly described from the region, and on the use of multimedia.
