Building on last year's state of GLAM-Wiki by Lori Byrd-Phillips, this presentation would give a brief contextual overview of GLAM-Wiki activities in North America, including Canada, the United States, and Mexico, before moving into a panel-based question and answer session with attendees interested in getting involved with GLAM-Wiki processes in North America—lessons that can also be applied worldwide.

This presentation from the GLAM-Wiki community in North America will include updates on efforts to build Wikimedia community support for GLAM-Wiki projects, as well as initiatives for supporting cross-discipline collaboration between cultural professionals, open access affiliate organizations, Wikimedia chapters, and the Wikimedia community. These efforts include:
- Establishment of the GLAM-Wiki US Consortium and Advisory Group
- The GLAM Boot Camp model for training longstanding Wikipedians on the processes of GLAM-Wiki partnerships
- The role of GLAM-Wiki in Open GLAM in the US
- New ideas for connecting GLAM professionals and Wikipedians, including the monthly GLAMout.
