- The 2014 Winter Paralympics, officially known as the XI Paralympic Winter Games, will be held from March 7 to March 16, 2014 in Sochi, Russia. An international wiki team of photographers and writers will tell of this major sporting event. The presentation will introduce the project and clarify first organizational details. The International Paralympic Committee has assured me in the meantime an accreditation of 10 Wikipedians.

The 2014 Winter Paralympics, officially known as the XI Paralympic Winter Games, will be held from March 7 to March 16, 2014 in Sochi, Russia. An international wiki team of photographers and writers will tell of this major sporting event.
The presentation will introduce the project and clarify first organizational details. Two wikipedians meat the last paralympics and had interesting experiences; to widen/enlarge this engagement an international Wiki-Team of authors and fotographers should report from the next Paralympics. In first contacts with International Paralympic Committee this project was presented and the representatives signalized the possibility of accreditation for wikipedians. I hope to get the fully agreement of the IPC to the date of wikimania.
The presentation on Wikimania should give an overview of the duties for this project for potential interested partipants.

One main aspect to discuss is what is encyclopedic fotography in sports and which aims could and should be reached by visiting sportsevents. Another point are organizing preparations such as teambuilding; is it necessary to build a committtee and criteria for potential teammembers? How is the schedule of the project and how can we finance a 10days- event in Sochi.
